Togo: barely 10 years old, but already immersed in artificial intelligence thanks to BOSTONSOLUX

They haven't yet reached adolescence, but their future is already taking shape in the digital world. Through the Digital Dreamers program, an initiative of the international institution Boston Solux, which specializes in management and consulting, Togolese children aged 10 to 13 have just received their first diploma after two weeks of intensive training in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and big data.

Children who think like experts

Brief overview of a training session

Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in the commune of Golfe 6 in Kpogan , the BOSTONSOLUX welcomes young learners far from traditional coloring books. Here, we code, we algorithmize and we explore the inner workings of technology.

Scratch, Python, algorithms, variables, conditions… These technical terms no longer hold any secrets for these children. “I learned that Scratch is a tool for programming. We use blocks of code to animate characters, ask questions, and generate sounds ,” explains one of the young graduates. Another adds enthusiastically: “This year, we saw something even more advanced: creating programs that interface with Python. We also discovered super AI, which doesn’t exist yet but will be smarter than humans!

Training from childhood for future leadership

Behind this project is BOSTONSOLUX , an academy that aims to become a global leader in educational digital consulting. For its leaders, introducing young people to digital careers is the key to shaping an innovative and competitive generation.

“We launched Digital Dreamers last year to introduce children to digital technology. This second edition allowed the older students to deepen their knowledge, while the new ones discovered the basics ,” explains Germain Hunsinou, Training Manager. The results are already there: “What struck me was their attention, their diligence, and their desire to learn. Their ability to retain complex concepts is impressive,” says Emmanuel AMOU, cybersecurity & IT governance consultant.

Building a sustainable digital ecosystem

Beyond simply sharing knowledge, BOSTONSOLUX aims to create an ecosystem where young people can transform technological challenges into opportunities. With this approach, Togo could well count, in a few years, on a generation of talents capable of driving its digital development.

For these first 24 graduates, it is a source of pride, but also a promise: that of a future where artificial intelligence and technology will no longer be a mystery, but a playground for innovation.
