Mobilization for victims of torrential rains in Lomé: a toll-free number set up
Following the recent torrential rains that hit Lomé and its surrounding areas, efforts continue to support the affected populations. In response to this emergency, the Ministry of Security and Civil Protection has launched a toll-free number, 170, accessible free of charge regardless of the telephone operator. This service aims to allow citizens to report areas still affected by disasters and to efficiently direct emergency services.

This weekend, the Minister of Civil Protection, Calixte Madjoulba, visited the area to see the extent of the damage firsthand. The purpose of his visit was to assess the situation, coordinate emergency measures, and ensure a rapid and appropriate response to the needs of victims. The government remains committed to supporting the affected populations and implementing all necessary measures to mitigate the consequences of this natural disaster.
