Extension of universal health insurance by the CNSS
The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) is extending universal health insurance (AMU) coverage to new categories of beneficiaries, with a national campaign running until October 15.
This operation aims to update information and produce single insurance cards for beneficiaries of life pensions and annuities who have worked abroad (Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal) and their beneficiaries, in particular widows, widowers and orphans.
Pensioners must present themselves with identity documents and recent photos. The CNSS also announced a three-month waiting period, from October to December 2025, before the effective start of AMU benefits, scheduled for January 1, 2026.
