Update of the national travel platform and launch of the electronic visa in Togo
In Togo, the e-visa (electronic visa) is now available to travelers. The government officially announced this Thursday the launch of this document, as well as the update of the national travel platform, voyage.gouv.tg .
The new version, which follows on from the one deployed two years ago (August 2020), integrates on a single platform all the immigration formalities that a traveler entering or leaving the territory must complete, including their visa application and health information.
From now on, explains the executive, “ any individual wishing to enter or leave Togolese territory must first go to the site to complete their immigration form (mandatory for all entry and exit from the territory), make, where applicable, a visa application if they are a national of a country for which entry to Togo requires a visa, and declare their vaccination status and/or register to carry out a Covid-19 PCR test if they are not vaccinated (in accordance with the health provisions in force)” .
Other features are also available on the platform, such as the ability for travelers to create an individual account with a password, allowing them to save their personal information (names, contact details, passport numbers), thus reducing the formalities for each trip. The system will be extended to land and sea borders later this year.
Let us recall that still within the framework of the digitalization of services, the executive proceeded two weeks ago to the updating of some procedures relating to the police of foreigners .
