Several school infrastructure projects underway in Togo
In Togo, a significant number of school infrastructure projects are currently underway in primary and secondary schools, both in urban and rural areas. These projects include the construction of new classrooms, the rehabilitation of existing buildings, and the erection of perimeter walls to secure school grounds.
This work is part of the government's roadmap of projects P9 and P10, which aim to improve the quality of education and increase student capacity, respectively. Sites were recently handed over to the successful bidders in the country's seven education regions.
In Lomé, the Lycée de 2 Février will benefit from twelve new classrooms on two floors, an administrative block, and latrine blocks. In Sanguéra, school and administrative buildings are being renovated, while in Atakpamé, a nearly 1,200-meter-long perimeter wall is under construction to strengthen the security of the school grounds. Other establishments, such as the Lycée Abobo, the CEG Kalabé in Notsé, and the EPP Kounboul, are also undergoing renovations.
Beyond the infrastructure aspect, these projects aim to guarantee each student a modern, secure learning environment conducive to success. In addition to strengthening reception capacities, they contribute to enhancing the school environment and creating better working conditions for teachers.
