Greater Lomé: strengthening hydraulic infrastructure

In an effort to improve access to drinking water and strengthen water infrastructure, the Ministry of Water recently launched a call for tenders for the construction of nine (09) boreholes in the capital. Among these boreholes, six (06) will be equipped with an autonomous system, aimed at meeting the growing water needs of the population.

Interested companies have until Wednesday, July 9, 2025, to submit their bids. The work will be carried out in a single package, allowing for more efficient and coherent project management.

This initiative is part of the Urban Water Security Improvement Project in Togo (PASH-MUT) , financed by the World Bank. The main objective of this project is to strengthen access to water and sanitation services in Greater Lomé, while improving the operational performance of water supply system providers.

PASH-MUT represents a crucial step for the sustainable development of the region, ensuring that the inhabitants of Greater Lomé have reliable access to drinking water, an essential element for the health and well-being of urban communities.

Authorities encourage qualified companies to participate in this call for tenders, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the government and the private sector to achieve these ambitious objectives. Strengthening water infrastructure is vital to address the challenges associated with population growth and rapid urbanization in Greater Lomé.
