Framework agreement between the University of Lomé and ANAC for aeronautical training

The University of Lomé and the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) have signed a framework agreement to strengthen the training of professionals in the aviation sector. This initiative, signed by the leaders of both institutions, aims to develop a local skills ecosystem capable of meeting the growing needs of the aviation sector.

This partnership provides for the establishment of specialized training programs, including internships and job opportunities within ANAC, based on identified needs. The main objective is to train pilots, engineers, maintenance technicians, and operations staff, all essential for the smooth running and growth of the aviation sector.

"This agreement will allow the establishment of short-term certifications, lasting from three to six months, in the field of aeronautics," said Adama Kpodar, president of the University of Lomé.

The Lomé Polytechnic School will be the first to roll out these training programs, benefiting from technical support from ANAC to ensure their compliance with international standards. A monitoring committee, composed of members from both institutions, will be formed to ensure the effective implementation of this partnership, which could also be extended to the University of Kara.

ANAC Director General Abdou Ahabou Idrissou stressed the importance of this collaboration, which aims to create an environment conducive to competitive, sustainable civil aviation that complies with international standards.
