Aro-International teaches young people how to speak in public
A major meeting dedicated to public speaking took place this Saturday, July 6, 2019, in the main hall of the Agora Senghor in Lomé. It was a certificate award day organized by the ARO-INTERNATIONAL firm, which specializes in the art of public speaking. This event concludes a little over two months of public speaking training for more than 1,000 students enrolled at the University of Lomé.
More than a thousand students from the University of Lomé were trained free of charge. Following this training, the aim was to showcase to national and international public opinion the public speaking talents of the young people who attended this training.
Indeed, this certificate award ceremony was followed by a public speaking competition on the theme: Togolese youth facing the challenges of citizenship and civics. Several candidates from different faculties of the University of Lomé compared their speaking talents. At the end of this competition, the winner named AGBOGLO Aku Delphine indicated that she intends to use her diploma to serve her other brothers and sisters who wish to speak in public, to stand in front of a crowd without stage fright, without pressure.
" I have organized training sessions and competitions all over the world, but today, God is my witness, I was amazed by the quality, the melody, the lighting, and especially the sound and the talent of the candidates who performed. The choice was difficult, but among the best, there is always a better one ," said Amadou COULIBALY, CEO of the ARO-INTERNATIONAL Group.
According to him, the observation is based on the fact that young people today have difficulty expressing themselves in public. Young people are unable to speak good French. This observation is the same everywhere, thus requiring training to prepare young people for public speaking, from primary school to university. This is what the ARO-INTERNATIONAL Group will soon be working on with Togolese youth in its entirety.
