Protection of personal data in Togo

In Togo, the protection of personal data is gaining momentum, a key issue for human rights in the digital age. On October 15, the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) and the Personal Data Protection Authority (IPDCP) held a meeting to share experiences and identify avenues for cooperation.

This initiative marks a first step towards coordinated action in favor of privacy. Kwao Ohini Sanvee, President of the CNDH, emphasized the importance of ensuring data security to protect the dignity of citizens in a digital world. For his part, Bédiani Béléi, President of the IPDCP, stressed the need for close collaboration to ensure respect for human rights.

It should be recalled that the IPDCP recently conducted an awareness tour to inform citizens about their rights regarding personal data and encourage them to adopt secure practices.
