New presidents of the universities of Lomé and Kara
The new presidents of the universities of Lomé and Kara officially took office following handover ceremonies.
In Lomé, Professor Kossivi Hounaké succeeded Professor Adama Kpodar, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Kanka-Malik Natchaba. He pledged to continue reforms, modernize the university, and improve living conditions on campus while strengthening ties with socio-economic sectors.
In Kara, Professor Grâce Prénam Houzou-Mouzou, the first woman to chair a university in Togo, took over from Professor Kokou Tcharie. She expressed her determination to meet the challenges and promote the country's second-largest public university.
