Launch of the project to promote academic excellence and female leadership by ASLAC-Togo
On October 28, 2023, a landmark event in the field of education and the promotion of academic excellence and female leadership was held in Togo. The Association of Cracks-Togo Graduates (ASLAC-Togo) officially launched its project to "Establish a club to promote academic excellence and leadership for young girls." This event brought together many prestigious guests, including government representatives, financial partners, and key players in the education sector.
Under the theme "Breaking the cycle of violence against girls in schools to promote academic excellence and female leadership," this project is co-funded by CFAO Solidarité and CFAO Motors. It also benefits from technical support from the NGO LE CRACK, the ALPHA school, and the LE CRACK school group.
The opening address was delivered by the President of ASLAC-Togo, Dr. Kodzo SOSSOU, who expressed his gratitude to the guests for their presence and support for this initiative. He emphasized the importance of educating young girls and recalled the challenges they face, including school-related violence and gender-based discrimination.
Since its inception 10 years ago, ASLAC-Togo has been committed to promoting excellence in academic and professional settings. The project to establish a club to promote academic excellence and leadership for young girls aims to raise awareness among young girls about academic excellence and to develop their leadership skills. It is part of a broader effort to promote girls' education, supported by the Togolese government and other national and international organizations.
President SOSSOU also paid tribute to the association's former presidents for their dedication and contribution to promoting academic excellence and female leadership. He emphasized that despite the challenges encountered, ASLAC-Togo remains determined to pursue its mission with courage and commitment.
During the ceremony, enriching exchanges took place between the various stakeholders present, thus promoting the creation of partnerships and synergy of action towards a common objective.
This ambitious project aims to break the cycle of violence against girls in schools and promote their academic and personal development. By equipping young girls to become the leaders of tomorrow, ASLAC-Togo contributes to building a more egalitarian and inclusive society.
The event was a success, marking the beginning of a new phase in efforts to promote academic excellence and female leadership in Togo. ASLAC-Togo, with the support of its partners, will continue to work to provide young Togolese girls with the opportunities they need to achieve their full potential.
