Launch of SIALO 2025 in Lomé

The 2025 edition of the Lomé International Agriculture and Agri-Food Fair (SIALO) was inaugurated on Wednesday, October 15 at the Togo Exhibition and Fair Center (CETEF). This event marks the beginning of a week rich in exhibitions, conferences, and discoveries, centered on the theme: "Sustainable Transformation for a Food System in Africa: Challenges and Actors."

This latest edition of SIALO highlights innovations and initiatives aimed at strengthening the resilience of rural areas in the face of climate and economic challenges. The show provides a platform for exchanges between hundreds of stakeholders from Togo and beyond, including farmers, processors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and technical partners. The goal is to promote best practices and foster more competitive and environmentally friendly agriculture.

Kpadénou Anani Kodjogan, Director of Major Agricultural Projects and representative of the Minister of Agriculture, stressed that "with this twelfth edition, SIALO confirms its position as a reference framework for stakeholders in the agri-food value chain, from production to marketing."

Launched over ten years ago, SIALO plays a crucial role in promoting agricultural development within the regions and encouraging the consumption of local products. This edition promises to provide concrete solutions to the challenges facing agriculture in Africa, while fostering dialogue between the various stakeholders in the sector.
