2025-2026 School Year: Togo Ensures Availability of School Supplies
In an effort to ensure a smooth return to school, the Togolese government is committed to ensuring the availability of stocks and affordable prices for school supplies. The Minister of Trade, Rose Kayi Mivedor, recently met with the main importers of school supplies on Tuesday, August 12, as part of an ongoing dialogue between the government and economic operators.
This meeting provided an opportunity to review the state of supplies, price stability and compliance with official directives, in particular the obligation to print the symbols of the Republic on the covers of notebooks.
"Stocks are ready, prices remain unchanged, with a downward trend," the minister reassured after the discussions. She also stressed the importance of harmonizing prices between Lomé and other regions of the country to avoid any disparities.
The 2025-2026 school year is scheduled to begin on September 15, 2025. The government continues to work closely with industry stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new school year.
