“Made in Togo” Fair: a celebration of local crafts
Kicking off on August 1st, the sixth edition of the “Made in Togo” fair is taking place at the Togolese Exhibition and Fair Center (CETEF-Togo 2000), bringing together more than 200 exhibitors, artisans, agripreneurs, processors, and startups. This event, which is held in a festive and commercial atmosphere, aims to showcase local know-how and promote the consumption of Togolese products.
Under the theme "Let's consume Togolese products for a strong and sustainable economy" , this edition of the fair is part of a dynamic of promoting local products. It also serves as a lever to raise public awareness of the importance of local consumption. The Togolese government, through this, seeks to support national value chains and encourage local entrepreneurship.
At the official opening ceremony on August 4, the Minister for Local Consumption, Rose Kayi Mivedor-Sambiani , reaffirmed the government's commitment to promoting "Made in Togo ." She said: "Consuming local is not just an act of patriotism, but also an essential strategy to stimulate our industry, encourage the creation and circulation of wealth, create decent jobs and ensure our resilience in the face of global challenges."
The exhibitions continue until August 10 , offering visitors the opportunity to discover a variety of local products and services, while supporting the Togolese economy. This fair represents a unique opportunity to celebrate the talent and innovation of local actors, while strengthening the country's economic fabric.
