" We have no government assistance (and) we are still without resources," lawyer Claude Rambaud, vice-president of the France Assos Santé federation of associations, which is leading this campaign, told AFP.

Launched for the third consecutive year in France, based on the model of similar operations in the Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian world, "Dry January" works on a simple principle: do not drink alcohol during the entire month of January.
