Insurance Policy Assessment for Sports and Leisure Operators
Nearly a year after the introduction of an insurance policy for sports and leisure professionals, an evaluation was conducted to measure the initiative's impact. Minister of Sports and Leisure Lidi Bessi Kama chaired a meeting with André Azibli, CEO of GTA Assurances, to review the initial results of this coverage.
During this meeting, the technical teams of both institutions reviewed the implementation of the insurance policy. Currently, approximately 15,000 athletes benefit from this coverage, although football, which is receiving special treatment as part of the ongoing professionalization process, is not yet included in this system.
The evaluation identified several areas for improvement. Feedback from beneficiaries was collected, and recommendations were made to optimize the effectiveness of the system. The government is committed to continuing its efforts to expand and strengthen coverage for the benefit of all stakeholders in the sector.
The insurance policy taken out covers two main aspects:
- Liability insurance
- Personal accident insurance
