Back to school: EVA-Togo association provides support with school supplies

On September 29, 2021, the Espace Vie et Action-Togo (EVA-T) association, with the support of the Autonomous Port of Lomé, donated school supplies to students in the village of Alinka (Togblécopé), 25 km from Lomé. Around fifty children benefited from this initiative, which has become a regular feature of the organization each year.

As it has done every year since its founding in 2010, the EVA-T association's mission is to provide school supplies to underprivileged children in various communities across Togo. Due to a lack of financial resources, some parents find themselves forced to watch their children drop out of school. Unfortunately, girls are the most affected by this phenomenon.

With free education becoming a reality in Togo, it is also necessary to provide children with the means to fully pursue their studies. But with the difficult economic situation of most Togolese people, many families find it impossible to provide these means to their children. This is why the EVA-T association has been initiating this distribution of school supplies for over 10 years.

For this 2021-2022 school year, the operation was made possible thanks to the kind support of school materials from the Autonomous Port of Lomé. The Executive Director of EVA-T, Mr. Djamiou ABOUDOU, hopes to continue to benefit from this aid to give Togolese children the opportunity to study in peace and for a better future for Togo.
