Advance voting for defense and security forces: details and organization
Advance voting for members of the defense and security forces will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025. This directive was issued by the President of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) in an official press release dated July 10.
Early voting is reserved for members of the Togolese armed forces, security forces, paramilitary forces, and operational reserves. These voters will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of electoral operations on election day.
Voting will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at specific polling stations, a list of which has been published by the CENI. It is important to note that the members of the polling stations (BV) concerned will be the same as those who will be present during the general vote.
- Registered Voters : Those who are regularly registered in the selected polling stations must sign the voting list after voting.
- Unregistered Voters : Voters not registered in the center but on a mission in the locality will be able to vote by presenting their voter card, after having completed a voter registration form by derogation.
Poll workers will randomly select the location of the hologram on the ballot. At the end of the vote, the ballot opening will be sealed, and a fifth seal will be placed publicly. No vote counting will take place during this advance vote.
The voting list will be placed in a sealed envelope and transported with other documents for the general vote. The ballot boxes and sealed envelopes used in the advance vote will be transported to the headquarters of the Independent Local Electoral Commission (CELI) and handed over to the president of the CELI in the presence of the other members.
On the day of the general vote, the ballot box will be escorted back to the polling station, and at the end of the vote, the seals will be checked before the contents of the advance voting box are mixed with those of the general vote for counting.
